'We better not see you on again,' the strategist says he was told by a White House official. Obama aides have taken an aggressive stance against the network and may be seeking to isolate it.

This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

No direct source for they're information cited, but they "believed" (interpreted/projected belief) that that's what the white house wanted. Mmmm k

The message was, " 'We better not see you on again,' " said the strategist, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to run afoul of the White House. An implicit suggestion, he said, was that "clients might stop using you if you continue."

Yeah, I also noticed that, PNB. Rather convenient that there isn't a name we can attach this story to, no?

In urging Democratic consultants to spurn Fox, White House officials might be trying to isolate the network and make it appear more partisan.

I'm sorry, but WHAT?! Trying to make it appear more partisan? Seriously? If it were any more apparent, they'd have a fracking banner saying We're Sarah and Rush's @!$%#.

They told others, they didn't tell me, but they hinted to others that it might be a bad idea.

Essentially, you have unnamed people being told unspecified things by the "White House." This is what passes for journalism these days?

Details and corroboration, or it didn't happen.

Who, what, when, where, why......aren't those the tenets of journalism? Hey boys and girls, isn't it about time we get back to that.

Patrick Caddell was a major advisor for the Carter administration. He was a very left winged liberal who the Democrats turned to a number of times to help out in their administration. I have watched Patrick Caddell for the last three years and something has happened in the last year to make him an outspoken critic of the Obama administration. The man is a true Democrat and a man that many Democrats have turned to for advice and help. He is one of the few Democrats I respect. He doesn't change his tune just because of the changing Political tide. He holds firm to his core beliefs and defends them no matter if they are popular or not. He is very blunt and very honest. He is a shining example of what Democrats should be. As a Conservative the man scares me. If more Democrats were like him the Party would be unstoppable. He has my respect and admiration for being a stellar human being.

I can't believe a newspaper like the LA Times would print such a lame story. Who is the source? You can't report a story like this and then hide the identity of the source. When you do it's just reporting a rumor with no credible basis in fact. This looks like National Inquirer reporting and should not be taken seriously.

I dont know why you have a hard time with the supposition that the White House might do this. R. Emmanuel is HR Haldeman 40 years later. These people have been caught lecturing the WH press corps, threatening Chrysler bond holders, and strong arming Tea Party people through the SEIU...and before you call BS, the head of the SEIU has been a White House guest a total of 22 count em 22 times. Marginalize and attack. They've been caught before and they'll be caught again...Too bad there truly are not more honest MSN people like Pat Caddell.

I think "deepthroat" would disagree with you on that point.

I can believe it since the LA Times is now owed by the Tribune Co.

I have always been told aides/consultants serve at the pleasure of the president. If that is the president's line and they don't want to toe it find other employment, and stop whining.

Wasn't Sec of State Hillary Clinton on Fox just last week? Seems like a very credible story to me - NOT!

What gets me is that this admin whines about one news group when the last one did the same..doesnt matter the political party, they all whine when any news report is against them in any form if its an extended period of time.. get real people, its the good ole boy system in Washington with a different name....think about it .. have we really ever had one president or administration in Washington who actually had the peoples best interests at heart insted of who could fill their pockets with the most money???

If this story is true (which I think is a possibility), then it is truly sad how both parties are spurning whoever tries to even associate with the other side. Reminded me of when Michael Steele said "we'll come after you" after Joseph Cao voted in favor of the healthcare bill.

Well, I for one am glad that this Democratic consultant went on FOX to try to show their foolish viewers a different point of view. And I am glad that Joseph Cao voted with his conscience and for his constituents rather than his party.

Seems like the term 'bipartisanship' just doesn't apply anymore. I mean, I can understand the White House's distaste at FOX, but still... totally unnecessary.
